How many ways are there to lose weight? The answer to that question depends on who you ask. If you ask me, I think there are two ways to lose weight (at least, to lose it permanently and safely): eat less and move more. Obviously, that’s a simplified answer but, if you turn on the TV or visit a bookstore, you’ll find an infinite number of other ideas – diets, gadgets, pills, etc. I have to admit, I’ve tried a few questionable methods of weight loss in my day…no, I won’t tell you what they were but I will say that none of them worked.

I’ve found that eating the right kinds of foods and staying active has been the best weight managment program I’ve done.
I’ve done WW, Jenny Craig and the Zone Diet and have stayed with WW – too bad I just can’t do away with them all! I also try to exercise as much as possible – 4-5X/week
I selected had “I just exercise and eat healthy”
its actually – I excersire when ever I can and ‘try’ to eat healthy.
I had to start somewhere and hope fully get to just exercise and eat healthy .

I never tried a real diet plan but I do try to walk as often as I can and I find that when I get enough sleep and drink at least 8 glasses of water I don’t gain weight.
I have tried one of those vibration devices. I don’t know if it worked, but I manneged to lose some weight when I used it.

Another important reminder is that you shouldn’t shy away from any certain food. Instead, just eat it in moderation.

I went on South Beach, and since I don’t like ricotta cheese, oil, vinegar, and I don’t like meat, I lost 13 pounds in a week (and this was weighing 150 at 5’7″ to begin with). At the end of the week, I couldn’t continue and I binged on Wendy’s and candy. Now I’m working on your two methods!
I have been using weight watchers and lost 20 pounds since Jan 2009.

As an engineer, the following is what counts
calories in minus calories out equals weight loss. The fad diets let you lose the same 20 pounds over and over.
Balanced diet and exercise at least 30 minutes, 4 days a week is the best weight management program.
