How many ways are there to lose weight? The answer to that question depends on who you ask. If you ask me, I think there are two ways to lose weight (at least, to lose it permanently and safely): eat less and move more. Obviously, that’s a simplified answer but, if you turn on the TV or visit a bookstore, you’ll find an infinite number of other ideas – diets, gadgets, pills, etc. I have to admit, I’ve tried a few questionable methods of weight loss in my day…no, I won’t tell you what they were but I will say that none of them worked.
So, what about you? Have you tried diets or gadgets to try and lose weight? Tell us about it in this week’s poll and please leave your comments about your experience with different methods of weight loss.

I have never done any fad diets or anything – I just always tend to stick to eating healthy and exercising.
I tried a lot of diets, but in the end learned that eating healthy is the only way to go!
I am about to be a new mom so, trying to stay healthy and fit is important to me!

I recently went through child birth and it is crucial for me to stay healthy. I don’t necessarily exercise alot, but i move around and take many long walks. I find it beneficial to eat consistantly and never skip meals. It helps me personally to eat at home and rarely eat out.
i mostly try to eat healthy and exercise. i am a vegetarian – so that helps a lot!
I had a baby a few months ago so I definitely have weight to lose. I go on walks with the baby and am trying to get motivated to go to the gym!

I have tried all most all of them, and it is usually a combination which works for me. I started exercising and eating healthy and it is still my first choice. I couldn’t take the weight loss supplements when I was nursing but I started them after I stopped nursing and it definitely helped.
I signed up the Revitol Stretch Mark solution, I was looking for a deal anyways so thanks. I used it after my first pregnancy and it helped. One of my girlfriends uses it and referred me to it. Hope I win.
Chaseing my kiddos keeps me fit!
I’ve never tried dieting. I just go to the gym 3-4 times a week and try to eat healthy.

I just had twins so losing weight and getting in shape is a main goal for me (also I need sleep)!
I lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers last year but I missed white bread and cheese and chocolate and cookies and…..
So far, I’ve only gained back 5 pounds. I’m not done, I need to lose another 25 pounds to be at my “goal”.

What works best for me is regular exercise and moderate diet. A few times in my life I’ve dropped the exercise part and started eating stupid and weight has gone up to 180s. Drastic measures have gotten it back down. Once (in the 1970s) by calorie-restricted diet (1200 per day) plus running 2.5 miles day. Next (in 2007) combining using South Beach Diet with my own concept of “shock and load” dieting. In both instances was able to lose 30-40 pounds in about 2 months. However, now I’m due again. That’s not good to get back up so fast.
I tried everything but found that if I stick to 1200 – 1500 calories per day and exercise at least 4 days a week, I can be healthy.
Along with exercise, I also try to eat low fat and low carb food, avoid spicy and oily food
Ugh, I’ve certainly done most of these. I need to really learn to focus on eating less and moving more… thanks for this site and for the giveaway.

Don’t use fad diets. There’s a reason they’re called “fad.”
I used Acai Berry for Weight Loss and it worked for me to some extent
Cutting calories. I have a fear of probably most supplements.

I have tried a few things to keep my weight down but have only found one thing that actually works and is safe. It is this amazing plant from the amazon and it literally melts the fat away! Just kidding! No, what I do is eat about five smaller meals during the day and limit myself to one guilty pleasure a day. The rest is good stuff: spinach and goat cheese with craisins, cucumbers and celery with ranch, tuna, salmon, chicken and the like. I also try to walk more. Whenever I have an excuse, I walk with my mp3 player, and I love it. Often I go out for hour walks and pick up trash along the side of the road. It keeps me in shape and I keep the cans to turn in for cash. This is really what works for me.
Answered the poll. I tried phentermine last year and lost 30 pounds in 2 months for my wedding but after I stopped I ballooned even working out four times a week.

I have done about all of them.
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I had lost weight when I started making better choices about my eating habits and I was exercising more. Then I slowly started eating the same foods again and went back to my original weight. Old habits can be hard to break, but I was definitely feeling better when I was eating better, and I am now trying to re-establish some of my healthier choices again.
I had pretty good results a couple of years ago with a low carb diet. Since then I just swim 3 times a week and stay away from fast food places. Thanks for the contest.
I would love to win this…and how great you’re matching too!

The years have added weight same as it did for my mother, even though we are eating much better and exercising more she ever did. I’ve seldom tried a fad diet as my mind has always known the same eat less – move more chant. Thanks for the drawing
I just lost 20 lbs in 3 months by eating only raw vegan foods. It’s also improved my health (reversed my pre-diabetes, cleared up my skin, increased my energy). This is a regimen I plan to be on for the rest of my life!

loved doing weight watchers…just started again.
I’ve tried a diet of mainly fruits which really helps because fruits are delicious but they tend to contain a fair amount of sugar so a balanced diet may still be better.
Portion size! Controlling portions (which are getting larger by the year, in America!), & not depriving oneself.
